MISSING SINCE 16TH DECEMBER Our beautiful boy, Rocket, a dark brindle staffy went missing on the 16th December 2025 (41 days now). We have unfortunately had no other sightings since Christmas eve when he was spotted running around inside the paddock at the top of Pine Camp Road and Old Gympie Road (Woodlands farm 6), Beerwah. We have done everything possible to help get Rocket back, including the following: -Listed him as missing with the Sunshine Coast Council, and updated his microchip as missing -Contacted local vets, pounds and shelters -Searched for countless hours, including bushwalking around the area, checking for paw prints, poops and flattened terrain -Hired a thermal drone to check surrounding bushland -Put posters and flyers up all over Beerwah, Landsborough and GHM -Engaged with a dog tracker who has assisted us in using wildlife cameras and tracking techniques -Letterbox dropped and spoken to countless locals -Walked up and down Pine Camp Road leaving scent trails (rags), replacing these every few days and when it rains, as best as we can -Consistently monitored Facebook lost and found pages -Followed up every lead and possible sightings (even when they turn out to be bush turkeys! 🦃) -Liaised with Woodlands on a number of occasions, gathering information, asking permission to visit farms (as there are several), asking permission to set up wildlife cameras (still pending) -Visited and searched Woodlands farm 1, 6 and 7 (with permission) After visiting Woodlands farm 1 (at the end of Pine Camp Rd) recently, we found dog paw prints near the first dam as you drive in, so our only assumption is that he may still be on Woodlands land. If he is there, he will have access to (chook) food, water and shelter, hence he will be reluctant to move. We are currently waiting for a response from Woodlands about putting up a wildlife camera but have been denied previously, so we aren't getting our hopes up. Please note, Rocket was wearing a faded orange collar with his name and our number on it when he went missing. Despite all of this, we have had no luck and no further sightings of our boy. We just want to say thank you to all the people that have helped us look for him, shared our posts or stopped to have a chat. We really appreciate it and despite how devastated we are that he is still missing, it has been so nice to feel like we belong to a caring community. If you live in the area, we urge you to please check around your property and inside any sheds or if your hse is raised, please check under it. He may be sheltering from the heat or the rain in a vacant shed or under a hse. Please if you do see him, take a photo and note his location, then call us immediately on or. He will be in "survival mode", so please dont try and call out to him or catch him, it will only scare him. Thank you all again ❤️❤️❤️
