Message from Owner

Missing Elderly Tuxedo Cat – Iron Horse Subdivision Our 16‑year‑old indoor‑only cat, Figaro, slipped out on 10/2. He is likely hiding close by — under decks, in garages, sheds, bushes, or other sheltered spots. We do not believe he would have ventured far from the subdivision. There is a younger tuxedo cat in the area, but Figaro looks noticeably older and is microchipped. We understand that any outcome is possible. mishaps happen, and there is no blame if something did. We would simply rather know than not know. Thank you for helping us search for Figaro.

Please try these tips. I hope he hasn’t lost his sense of smell. I’m elderly also. I have a 16 yr old kitty. I think she may have a bit of dementia but she hasn’t tried to get out. Open your garage door just enough for him to go under. Put food, water and some of your unwashed clothing in there for familiar scent. Since he’s an indoor kitty, he may be scared and hiding. So check all around bushes, maybe under cars. Then walk your neighborhood looking for him. Carry an open can of catfood or tuna he might smell. Call his name. You may have more luck after dark. Maybe very, very late, when it’s more quiet. Then make flyers and tape to every neighbors front door. I got a kitty back years ago like that. They will bring the flyer with your number inside and they’ll have it if they see him. Not everyone is on social media. So the flyer will let them know you are looking. Make a missing cat report with the shelter. If he is chipped call the co and make sure your info is correct. I really hope you find your old man quickly. Good luck to you and Figaro.
