Dee McCrandall I’m glad your dog was reunited with you, but let’s be fair here. We had him for 45 mins to an hour before posting on Facebook, and the post was up for over an hour before someone commented and said he belonged to you. He had no collar, was shaking, covered in fleas, and we were worried he had been wondering for a long time since his ribs and hip bones were showing. We had no way of knowing he belonged to someone nearby or that you were supposedly looking for him, we even looked to see if anyone was looking for him and unfortunately we didn’t see anyone. We were trying to HELP, not cause problems. I genuinely don’t understand why that deserves being cussed out on the phone or being scolded because we tried to care for him & took him somewhere safe. I’d rather risk offending someone by doing the right thing than walk away from an animal who appears to need help. We acted out of concern, not spite, and I’ll never apologize for that.

This is my dog. First time ever getting out. Poor baby is 20 yrs old and was only a couple doors down before someone picked him up. We were already out looking. Less then an hour he was at LC4. I get people want to help but sometimes maybe give the owner time.

Just because lots are sharing this- owner has been found. This is my mom’s dog. The person who found him took him to LC4 so my mom is getting him back tomorrow hopefully.
