Create a scent box ASAP at the spot where your dog went missing. Put LOTS of your dirty laundry outside-hang some high to help your scent travel farther. Change this out often to keep the scent strong. Put it out in the shape of the wheel - so as your dog moves they can catch your scent. Dogs can smell their human’s urine 10-12 miles away. Leave some by the scent box, pour etc….. Don’t shout at them when you see them. They are traumatized from not being around familiar people & area. When you see them crouch down so they come to you. Don’t put out food - concentrate on getting your scent out there. It took me over 4 hrs to get to where my hubby rolled our truck and where my dog got lost. I did the scent box and got him back on the 3rd day.

This may work for a dog too: Help a cat find their way home by: 1. Cut in shreds their favourite blanket 2. Tie around posts from your house (several) to a 2+ mile radius, placing more strips closer & closer to home 3. Leave her toys, food, something outside so if she makes it back & you’re out, she stays Often cats lose their way back home as they become disoriented. The premise behind this strategy is to guide her back to her house. Prayers & positive thoughts your way! 🙏😇🐈
