Contact SLO County Animal Services online or on Monday morning at 781-4400 and file a "Lost Cat Report" -- many rescuers contact them first. If Biscuit is microchipped contact your Chip Company and make sure your contact information is correct, and let them know that your kitty is missing. We've had good luck finding lost kitkats here for years by putting small flyers on porches in a 2 or 3 block radius, and posting larger posters in common areas. A small reward gets kids searching for your kitty too. We even found Georgie after his 12 day escapade, and newcomer Timothy was reunited after 9 days of searching. A family 2 blocks away thought he had been dumped (this scenario occurs quite often). As time goes by Animal Services also recommends that owners visit their facility near Cuesta College off Hwy 1 and check for your kitty. Several have been reunited that way before they get adopted out... 🐈🐾🙏💞

Go to the shelters to see if your missing pet. is there, if not Get your flyers up! Do not rely on social media alone, most of my missing animals come home, because of physical flyers! I do 8X11 in the immediate area 4 per block, the bigger the area 3 per block and so on. I've had the most success with the 4 per page mini handouts of the same flyer. I will give these to the Mailman, UPS, Fedex, Garbage man, Gas stations, Grocery stores. Also fluorescent backgrounds at major intersections 8X11 or bigger. Also law enforcement and animal control. More than likely, it's not going to be your eyeballs. That bring your pet home. Also not everybody has social media. So we need as much help as we can get from the community. So make it easy for them to get a hold of you. and remember the harder you work, the luckier you get! I hope these suggestions help you get your animal home soon and safe. 🙏
