Look at You Tube videos about this. It worked for me. They usually stay very close, come out at night and observe for a long time to get familiar with sounds and sights of their surroundings. If you can open your garage just enough to let him slip under it, put SMALL amounts of food in garage on a t-shirt you've slept on. If the food bowl is tipped, or moved it's a critter. If the bowl is in the same place and not moved or tipped over, it's likely your cat. When your outside keep talking to your cat. Try going out at night and calling for him. He will feel safer in the dark near shrubs or some cover. He may not come to you. Don't force it or he will NOT feel safe and may go further from your house. Leave a few treats here and there around your property. Again, Chek out the How To videos on YouTubešŸ™šŸ‘‡šŸ‘‡Keep talking to him when you are.outside and walk around the house. He is listening.

~~~Give a copy of the picture with information to the mailman in the area… They encounter many people & situation… Put a sign with information & picture in your front yard if you can & @ stop signs… Someone may have him thinking he was abandoned… Someone may have a camera that captured something… Always get your animal microchipped, it gives a better chance of being reunited… If the dog is microchipped, call the company ASAP … Report you animal missing to your local dog pound… PetCo has free software that uses photo recognition to match your photo to photos from rescues and shelters. Prayers for a safe return home. Post on neighborhood web sites and repost, if necessary. Search often, especially in early and later hours of the day as many scared/ lost cats often hide during busy hours. Look under bushes with a flashlight and look up in trees. Call your cat's name as you walk back toward your home, not away from it. Even if your cat doesn't recognize their name, they may recognize your voice. Carry a carrier, food and a towel as your cat could be too scared to recognize you. Go outside your home in the very early morning hours and quietly call your cat's name. Go back inside, leaving an entry for your cat to come inside maybe garage. Repeat. Ask neighbors to check sheds, garages or any place your cat could be stuck inside or hiding. Pray to St. Anthony, finder if the lost. My prayers are with you.
When my Shushi,managed to escape my fenced-in backyard, I felt like the worst pet owner, carrying immense guilt for not immediately knowing that she'd left or where she'd gone. I got a recommendation from my worker about the missing pet recovery team. I reach out to them and they're able to find my Shushi safely. I suggest you reach out to them on Instagram if you have a similar problem you can send a text to them "animal_search_service_ltd" on Instagram to help you find your pet on instagram ? with photos of your missing/stolen pet.
