Monitor the stray intakes of local shelters and rescues in the south suburbs. All stray intakes are required by law to be posted. Monitor 24petconnect stray intakes. Set search radius to 25 miles. Because some shelters listed on 24petconnect do not post there. I advise to then view each individual website of the listed shelters and rescues on that radius for recent intakes. Email a clear photo description or the lost flyer of your dog to those shelters and rescues. Flyer templates and post missing on *Lost Dogs Illinois, PawBoost, Nextdoor , Pet FBI, and Petco Love. Flyer your neighborhood. *Read search advice on LDI.

Why is it so hard for people to keep an eye on their pets? There are pet thieves everywhere and they will follow you just to see where you live and take your pets. Dog fighting is making a huge comeback and dumb people don't have the sense to watch or keep their pets safe. Maybe you'll learn maybe not. Hope you get that pup back and if you do maybe keep an eye on it better.

Hang flyers up immediately in upside down gallon size baggies to protect from the weather, notify local mail carriers, UPS and Fed Ex drivers, and garbage men (they cover a lot of ground), ask neighbors to check their cameras/ring for possible sightings, check shelters daily bc the stray hold is usually only a few days, put her bedding and some of your dirty clothes outside for her to track the scent. Post on Nextdoor app, post on PetFBI.org, and all neighborhood apps, ask businesses to check their cameras. If she is chipped, notify chip company that she is lost. Praying you find her soon. I cannot express enough how important flyers are. Not everyone is on social media.
