Set humane trap cage ASAP. Indoor cats don't go far. Check under porches, sheds and anywhere they can hide. Talk to neighbors also. Call shelters, humane society and kennels to see if someone dropped them off. Go look yourself too, don't just go by what they say.. they are busy too.. go out at night when it's quiet and no noise, as they are scared. Only you go, not a bunch of people. Take a bag of treats with you. Also, leave a door cracked and garage door cracked open with food inside.. just keep an eye on it, this way they can run into your house when coming home. They usually go to the door where they got out at. Put up cameras if you can. You can buy humane traps at home Depot, Lowes or there's many shelters that will lend you one. Post on all animal sites. Make sure he didn't get locked in someone's garage or shed. Set up a camera or ask neighbors if they can review their cameras. Definitely leave doors and garage doors cracked open as they will try to get back in.. !! Do not leave trap unattended in this heat. Stay at a distance and keep an eye on it. If you check it every 10 mins you should be fine. If possible, put it in a shaded area too so metal doesn't get hot.

🐾Place some dirty laundry outsid to e, go out shake it I treats, crack a can of catfood and tap it. Look at night with flashlight because their eyes glow. Check in sheds and under porches, decks ect. Talk to neighbors too, make sure they check their shelters . Might have to set a hav-a heart trap if he's that skittish. Might only come out at night. Sometimes if you leave part of your garage open they will sneak back in. Not sure if that's possible or if you have other animals. I've heard where the cat jumps back in a window. Flyers are VERY important too, someone may have taken him in or seen him. Not everyone is on Facebook-Let your post office delivery person know too in case they hear of someone or see him on the local route- check with neighbors, someone may have brought him in. It's a good idea to hang a sign from your mailbox "LOST CaT" in case they are looking for an owner. You can buy a cheap TASCo game camera at Walmart $29 with an SD card and set it up to see if you catch him near by. It surprisingly takes good pictures and is easy to set up- definitely do the dirty laundry and definitely do the tapping of the cat food can. These things really do help🐾🐾🐾don't lose hope. I've had strays remain elusive for over a year before they learn to trust again. They go into survival mode. Be vigilant about flyers, ask neighbors.
