Found Lost Cat – Wedgwood Cottages (NE Seattle) Spotted a scared, vocal cat hiding in a neighbor's crawlspace at the Wedgwood Cottages (near the 35th Ave NE Safeway). Behavior: Very skittish and afraid of people, but definitely hungry (ate food left out this morning). Last week, he was meowing constantly. This week, he moved into the crawlspace, stopped being vocal, and went into hiding. Markings/Features: Wearing a black/dark collar. Action Plan: Setting a humane trap at dawn to get him safely scanned for a microchip and out of danger. If this is your cat or you have any information, please message directly. Hoping to get him home safely!

Jen I do not think it’s cruel- I think that’s a very smart thing to let people know. Especially if you are like us and never used a trap before. We put the treats and food towards the back of the trap so it would have to enter all the way. The cat took the bait quickly and the lady who let us set it up at her place responded right away. Unfortunately she let it out in her garage so my daughter could see it wasn’t our cat and it ran off out the garage door before she could literally catch it in hand. I hope whoever it belongs too, finds this cat soon! Sadly we are still searching for our Sallee missing since this August 2nd. Not giving up hope! 🙏🏼😰

Ari Hagerty hi it might seem cruel to some but the best way to possibly trap him is to not feed him outside the trap so he gets hungry enough to actually go for the food. If he's not hungry from being fed then he wont have any reason to go into it.

Kim Jim Magnuson Hopefully it gets inside the trap, I know it can take a while but we're positive :). Thanks for your comment, I'll try to give an update as soon as I can.

This looks so much like our missing cat in Renton and our cat is very vocal too. 💔 But Spanaway is too far from us unless she was stolen or accidentally transported. Also our Sallee was not wearing a collar! Microchipped but no collar. Darn such a close match markings, color, size, everything! If you can catch it and take to a vet so they can scan for a microchip that would be great. Plus they can help get it to a lost shelter for reuniting. I hope the owners come forward- that looks like a very loved, well fed cat! Bless you for feeding and posting this dear cat! 🙏🏼
