Message from Owner

Lazarus is a very friendly cat that has an uncanny ability to escape confinement. We have been staying about 3 miles up Mary’s Peak Road in one of the dispersed campgrounds. He escaped around 3 am and hasn’t been seen or heard from since. We’re desperate to find him as we just lost our Himalayan female to a sudden illness of unknown origin. Losing one cat is devastating, but two in one week is too much. We are desperate to find him.

He’s very friendly and sweet. He’s also an incredible mouser and escape artist. We’ve tried many different things to keep him contained and he Houdini’s his way out every time. He wasn’t wearing his harness when he got out.

Shawnda Hall no collar, no Microchip, yes he’s neutered. He’s a med size young adult… very fit and trim. He weighs maybe 10-12 pounds, I’d guess.

Do you have more photos of him? How much does he weigh/how big is he? Did he have a collar on? Is he neutered? Microchipped?

Sloane M Walker Did you post fliers that would indicate he is not a stray but belongs to someone so that they can contact you? All the best.

Suzan Reynolds he knows how to find us. We think a group of rock climbers took him in thinking he was a stray.

General Information: Set up a scent station. Hang clothes with your scent on it (Worn clothing from owner) high up outside so the familiar scent can travel and guide the cat back home. NO CAT BOX OR FOOD. Ask your neighbors to check their yard/could be accidently stuck in their garage or shed. (If applicable) Check doorbell or home camera - or ask neighbors to check their camera. Post Fliers with a picture of the cat and your contact information in the area the cat went missing. Not everyone is on Social Media and posters have worked in that if spotted a location can be provided. If a cat is scared they make themselves safe by finding a good hiding spot and often times hide in silence. Look in bushes - bring a flashlight and look for shining eyes. Best time to find your cat is in the early morning hours when the noise level is low and they feel safe. Leave an access point open for the cat to return. This is important if they do come back in the middle of the night. Prayers your cat returns/ or is found safely. Beware of scammers.
