Today is July 26, and our beloved 18-year-old Rusty has now been missing for over two weeks. He disappeared from the Springtown Road / River Road area in NEW PALTZ/TILLSON, and despite searching every day, hanging flyers, posting online, setting a humane trap, and checking everywhere we can think of... there have been no confirmed sightings. Rusty is deeply loved and missed every single day. He is an older orange tabby with a small notch in his left ear and no collar. He has lived indoors for many years and may be hiding quietly, frightened and unable to find his way home. Please don't assume someone else has already looked. Please check: Under decks and porches Sheds and garages (even ones that are usually closed) Barns and outbuildings Woodpiles Dense bushes Crawl spaces Under campers, trailers, and vehicles If you have security cameras, please take a few minutes to review overnight footage. Even the smallest glimpse of an orange cat could help. Please don't chase him if you see him. He may run from fear. If possible, offer food and call or text me immediately. Even if you're not completely sure it's Rusty, please let me know where and when you saw the cat. One sighting could change everything.
