EmojiEmoji Tonight, at about 10, I decided to pack up and make my usual treck to the woods, etc. looking for my little girl. I got down by the retention basin and I heard a ton of noise, a dog barking that sounded like Sparkle, and other noises...possibly coyotes? So, since it sounded like it was down in the Pepperword area (development behind me), I ran back home as fast I could and decided to drive over. By the time I got over there it was dead quiet. I freaked and thought OMG...they killed her! I looked through the whole area and then decided to go all the way down Liberty to where it joins Solon Road. Even though it is quite a distance, it's late and sound travels really good at this time. I drove slow, no sound, but saw a police car siting in the entrance to the park area and pulled in front of him. By this time I was so upset because I was really sure I heard her and was ready to some coyotes! "Brandon" came up to my nice, told me it may/may not be her, and that "yes" the coyotes are out and chasing everything. He didn't see my flyer, he was a Bentleyville cop, so, he gave me his info and had me send him her picture. He said he would let them know at the station in case anything showed up. I was surprised, I thought the already knew! He was so, so nice and I was a mess...I was sure I heard her! Anyway, I came home and went to take Chili & Pepper out to potty and guess who was in the back little girl! Sparkle was skiddish as usual but all I had to say was "treats...lets go in" and she flew in the door! She jumped up on her bed and waiting while I had Chili & Pepper potty. We came in, they got their treats, and I gave her more treats and then fed her some of their favorite canned food. She let me pet her, and I said "lets go to work" and we are in the office now and she is in her own my feet...just looking at me like she always does. She needs a good bath, and I will have to check her out in the morning. She was very hungry....ate from my hand as well as plate and now, I think just glad she's home! I think she's had a few rough days. The contactable leash is not attached, and it sort of looks ripped...I am wondering if something "did" try to grab her and got a mouth full of plastic, rope and the metal pulley....good! But I don't care, my baby is here! YIPPEE!! Between this roof business and this dog, I swear, this has been a really tough week! If I appear more gray the next time you see me, don't be surprised! But I am ever so thankful to have my little girl! I am still convinced that was her bark...but whatever...she's home now. Thank you!!!!!!! Dee
