PUPPY ‼️DEADLINE SUNDAY, 4/21 at 11 AM‼️ ADOPT/RESCUE - PRE-LAB - MEDICAL Not eligible for DAS foster Gallo (A1209101) 5 months old Neutered 39.00 pounds Location Found: 2900 Block Nicholson Dr, Dallas TX 75224 Everyone Meet Gallo, Gallo came into the shelter as a stray animal from the community. Medical staff noted that he was vomiting and not eating. 04/17/24 : P is BAR, not eating dog food or chicken, p is coughing and nasal D/C. Carprofen was given for fever(1.6ML) and Cerenia was given for nausea(1.7) Will recheck P on 04/18/24. SHELTER OBSERVATION On 4/8/24 He came to front of kennel, tail wagging, allowed me to rub, sat at kennel door. Did give me a little side eye but i was able to pet him On 4/8/24 Stayed in bed with head down when we got to kennel. When I opened kennel he was timid and kept his head down but approached close enough for me to pet. Felt comfortable enough to sit by me in cage. He was scared of leash and kept moving his head to dodge it and would nip at it. Was able to lead out and walk but he was timid and seem spooked when walking . Was hyper in yard and would sniff around a little and then he would run and hop up at me . Was very jumpy in yard, and didnt play with tos really. He mostly just wanted to run and jump around at people and like to be pet being very excited when someone would pet him. Was playful coming into yard taking little time to run around . Got overexcited and jumpy, stressing out some of the less tolerant dogs. Needs more high energy dogs in yard On 4/11/24 Dog had tail wagging happy to get to yard. Was excited and happy sniffing others when she came in. Was social and sniffed new dogs that would come to yard. Was energetic and playful, running around the yard with others. Got reactive to dogs trying to mount her trying to bite at and back other dog off(listens to tools) and was overexcited at times being too jumpy and annoying more timid dogs. Bring out with energetic tolerant SHELTER OBSERVATION On 4/8/24 Tail was wagging at gate when she saw us as she was happy to see us and wanted to get out . Was excited and easy to walking to yard. Was curious and wandered around in yard and kept coming up to me with tail wagging for pets . She was curious about the dog in the other yard and kept staring at them sniffing around gate . Was curious when it came to toys she would go after them but didn't really play with them. Approached me often for pets and was very nice and happy when out. VOLUNTEER OBSERVATION On 4/5/24 Easy Going Good Manners Good on Leash Pottied Immediately Social (Dogs) Warms Up Likes chin scratches and pets after she warms up a bit. His easy-going nature and good manners have earned him many compliments from our volunteers. From our observations, Pete seems to be a social butterfly, both with people and other dogs. He loves to cuddle, play, and explore his surroundings, often wagging his tail at dogs walking along the fence line. Pete is indeed a love-bug, warming up to others with time and showing his affectionate side. PLAYGROUP: PG1 - SOCIAL DG - DAINTY & GENTLE On 3/28/24 Had a bit of a slow start, but warmed up to the other dogs with more time. Started to open up and socialize later on. VOLUNTEER OBSERVATION On 3/18/24 Easy Going Good Manners;Good on Leash;Pottied Immediately; Social (Dogs);Social (People);Loose/Wiggly Body; Warms Up;Love-Bug;Wants to Cuddle;Wants to Play; Easy peasy Pete is such a good boy! Waited nicely at the front of his kennel for me to leash him and take him out to the yard . He did a bit of sniffing and pottied right away. After pottying he got some zoomies and wanted to run around a little bit! Most of all he liked to sit in the sun and cuddle up at my feet. Pete was curious about playgroup going on in the yard next to us and wagged his tail at dogs walking along the fenceline. In the event that her owners are not able to reclaim her, we are hoping to secure placement for her soon . 04/18/24 : Non-weight bearing on left forelimb, x-rays taken. radiographs reveal a somewhat comminuted, closed fracture of the radial and ulnar diaphysis left fore. under anesthesia, toggled fracture ends and was able to approximate near perfect in the lateral plane and approx 70% in the craniocaudal plane after attempted closed reduction. 📍Dallas Animal Services (Texas) To adopt: email dasadopt@dallas.gov and go to the shelter at 1818 N.
