HE IS A TURKISH ANGORA, LONG AND FLOWING WHITE FUR, A DEEP TNR CUT ON HIS LEFT EAR AND A HEART SHAPED GREY MARK ON HIS RIGHT EAR. GREY FEATHER DUSTER TAIL. DEEP YELLOW EYES. LARGE AND MUSCULAR BODY, AROUND 15 POUNDS. WHITEY IS MICROCHIPPED. WHITEY IS VERY SHY AND SKITTISH. DO NOT CHASE HIM - BEND DOWN AND CALL HIM SO HE SEES YOUR HAND AND GESTURE RUBBING FINGERS TOGETHER. HE WILL PROBABLY COME CLOSE TO YOU SO YOU CAN PICK HIM UP. HE’LL CRY, BUT DON’T BE DISCOURAGED JUST HOLD HIM UNDER YOUR ARM. HE DOES NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE AROUND DOGS, BUT LIKES OTHER CATS. HE WILL PROBABLY SEEK A PLACE TO HIDE INITIALLY.

Other sites that help you raise local awareness for your lost pet with minimal time and effort are Nextdoor.com – a PawBoost partner – and Craigslist. Both of these sites have very active lost & found sections mainly used for lost pets. We highly recommend you use these resources in addition to PawBoost!

Visit your local shelters and animal control agencies in person. Details can get lost in translation over the phone and that might lead to missed connection.

If chipped, make sure your pet’s microchip is registered and up to date. If you don’t know your pet’s chip manufacturer or number, your vet should be able to help locate this information.

Put up flyers and tell your neighbors to be on the lookout. The more you engage the community, the better your chances of a happy reunion!
