Brenda (Shasha) Female Cat

LOST PawBoost ID: 72662898

Austin, TX 78728

We adopted Brenda (we named her Sasha) from Austin Pets Alive on 03/07/2026 to be friends with our 6 yr old Ruthie. On the 4th day she got out thru our sliding glass door then thru the narrow sats on our patio! I had opened the slider to put something in our storage closet. My Ruthie was sitting on my left as I stood back from the doorway. Ruthie suddenly turned her head to the left, as did I when Sasha darted past me out the door. When she encountered the fence and saw there was hardly any room to pass thru she hesitated as she looked at me then she slid her way thru the fence! I have been beside myself along with my husband. She is just over a year and is scheduled to be spayed on 3/30/2026 the end of this month. Two days have gone by and no sign of her. Een Ruthie keeps searching the hse for her several times a day! Any information is greatly appreciated. Thank you, Camille

Frequently Asked Questions

I lost my cat. What should I do?

Take advantage of online platforms – they help you get the word out, quickly and easily. You can report your lost cat to PawBoost in no time flat. We'll send an email alert to our local members, post to the PawBoost-powered Facebook page for your area, add your cat to our lost & found, and make a lost cat flyer – all for free.

Other sites that help you raise local awareness for your lost cat with minimal time and effort are Nextdoor.com – a PawBoost partner – and Craigslist. Both of these sites have very active lost & found sections mainly used for lost pets. We highly recommend you use these resources in addition to PawBoost!

Visit your local shelters and animal control agencies in person. Details can get lost in translation over the phone and that might lead to missed connection.

If chipped, make sure your cat's microchip is registered and up to date. If you don't know your pet's chip manufacturer or number, your vet should be able to help locate this information.

Put up flyers and tell your neighbors to be on the lookout. The more you engage the Manor community, the better your chances of a happy reunion!
