Milo Ren Male Cat
REUNITED PawBoost ID: 72954695
Islip Terrace, NY 11752
It truly takes a village to raise a Family. Milo, is my baby boy. I raised him from the age of 2 weeks; bottle feedings, bathroom stimulation and waking up almost every hour on the hour just to make sure he was still breathing…I did it. He is my world, my child. When Milo got out, it was my worst nightmare come true. Logic tells you that he is still part wild cat and instinct will kick in, but at the end of the day, he’s still my baby- out there alone in a big world that he has no experience with. Mom mode kicked in to high gear; plaster that sweet little face everywhere and anywhere that someone might see him and help him get home. Because he is chipped I felt just a bit more hopeful that someone might find him and bring him to a Vet, or Animal hosp. For three days my Skootch (term of endearment) was missing. For three days I didn’t sleep. With the help of everyone in the groups on Facebook, the Vet Offices that I visited, Pawboost, and so many friends and Family helped to keep my faith up. Milo came home on a Wednesday night. My Father had gone downstairs to the shed to get me a staple gun so that I could hang flyers on telephone poles, when he saw a cat that looked like Milo go behind another one of our sheds. My Father called me outside to verify it, and there my baby was…just sitting himself down with almost a vacant look in his eyes. I started calling him to me and after about a minute he seemed to snap out of survival mode and started coming toward me. When he finally vocalized to me and I vocalized back, he snapped out of it and my baby boy started nuzzling my hand and leg. I picked him up and brought him back into the hse where he got food and water and the space to re-acclimate himself. I tried to get him to visit the Vet but he summarily vetoed my request and proved that he was capable of getting himself back in check. Thank you to everyone for your help, your advice and your care for animals.
