Boss Male Cat

LOST PET ID: 69987097

Montreal, QC H3X 2R1

UPDATE MARCH 5 - :) BOSS showed up late last night..! I am ecstatic to see him and know he’s safe and just as handsome. The story of how all unfolded is a little more complicated than written here… Having said that, I am so happy that I have to wait until my heart slows down before sharing it haha!! Thank you to everyone involved for the positive messages & energy and all the shared posts, everyone had something to do with it…Never underestimate the power of numbers!! FOREVER GRATEFUL! PS: I left the story under in case but this update is pretty much the only thing that matters now that he’s back 😁 ////////////:::::::::::::————-“””””””” BOSS is a beautiful but slightly feisty boy I saved from the streets 8 months ago. He has become my best friend and he has been with me ever since…He steps out to do his business for about 1hr at the time but lives with me every day and night since. He has become obsessed with my treats and all the love I give him everyday.. He adopted me from day one last May 2023.. I go crazy for his morning kisses and play bites!! He loves to play but needs to go out for total satisfaction. He never goes far and mostly stays in the backyards connected to my balcony and the surrounding streets like, Clanrd, Bourret, McDonald park but I doubt any farther, if even that far which is about 30/200m…People may think he’s lost when they see him or they marvel at his beauty, sparkly emerald green eyes and long shiny pewter coat that I take care of daily. I understood and accepted the risks of letting him out during that period of healing although I knew better.. I couldn't ignore his need to breathe nature. I just lost my dad a few days ago (Feb.1st) and Boss was my peace through these times and now he’s gone since Feb. 4 (10am) for his usual stroll except this time, he didn’t come back. I doubt he’s taking a break, he would run in chirping like a bird every time he heard my voice or saw me standing at the door and stairs from the second floor.. He never missed a juicy meal around 9 am and 8 pm and as many nuggets as he wants, he’s my man! I fell in love with him from day one and the pic you see is my Boss lying down on my late dad’s bed cover when not on his bathrobe although they never got to meet, how special is that.? According to my experience with animals and God knows I have a ton, he isn’t neutered…I’m not even sure about a chip and that’s because I have had 5 spinal surgeries in the past 5 years which were quite debilitating besides dealing with responsibilities that made it almost impossible for me to micro manage every occurring event at that moment including bringing him to a vet since he looked and acted like dynamite and as happy as a cat can be so I wasn’t in a hurry to find out if he belonged to anyone else (being honest here). I took all the necessary steps to find its owner from posters to Facebook posts without any replies from anyone for months…We had each other at o! how can I argue with that? I didn’t even contemplate getting another pet until my surgeries were over and done with and my life would be once again somewhat stable. Having said that, when I saw these big charming love-filled green eyes staring at me through my balcony window where he managed to climb to get my attention the very first cold night at 10pm, my heart just melted, how can I say no to a fury beauty that needs help?? And that included 2 other strays (those don’t want in) That said, I was just about to take care of all his needs after my dad‘s passing which I couldn’t unfortunately, take care of earlier 😔 The past few years but mostly recent months, have been a long and difficult journey and Boss was the pill that kept me sane.. I had finally decided to keep him forever 2 days ago because we’re like two pees in a pod and his unconditional love was exactly what I needed and still need…I miss him so much the pit of my stomach is tearing... I don’t know where to start so here I am with loads of hope that he’s not hurt, trapped in the wrong hands or dead!! He never missed a day and never strays longer than about 1hr weather permitting (-6 Celsius or warmer) if he does, he’s usually relaxing or sleeping on the balcony after wandering for 30 to 60min at the time and runs like a bullet when I call him which I’ve been doing every 15min for the past 3 days, hardly slept. I built a warm cushiony for him on the balcony months ago that he loves so much, he actually guards it and hisses at any other cat that dares come near his ... He has become the lion of my surroundings and the guardian of my heart… I am so afraid to step out on my own and find him injured as I can’t physically handle this sort of scene right now… My dad’s passing has deflated me and hurt me deeply and now losing Boss, certainly doesn’t help the healing process if it even started yet.. How can I lose my dad and 3 days later my cat??? Doesn’t make sense? Before you suggest I should have kept in inside which a lot people would agree with and so would I under normal circumstances, this baby came from the outside world and that can’t be switched over night… We went from 80%out and 20% in and before he left we were finally at him being very happy inside 90% of the time….! He was glued to me.. Any ideas or opinion on where I should start, please share! Thank you in advance…Please keep an eye open if you’re in the area 🙏 I am so grateful to have found this app while researching what I should do first… To answer your question about a collar, I had just removed his temporary one to put the new one on the following days with his info..😥 I feel so guilty, all these details were coming about in the next week or so. In my mind, I was helping a stray that needed love and care and vice versa until I realized we were already a pair… Where are you Boss? PS: If by any crazy Omen, his original family (if he ever had one) found him or he in fact has a chip and was brought back to his original family, I’ll be so happy for them (if indeed that’s what he wants) and glad I fostered him through what could have been a lot worse 🙂 🤞🏼 🥲 PS: He isn’t good with loud noises, still a little nervous with quick moves or quick hands and loves gentle people… He has a particular way of playing and I live alone so plenty of time for him.. I miss him so much, please look out for this beauty. PS-2: Boss is a pure breed Nebelung aka Nebbie, and I felt so blessed to see him instantly adopt me and my while loads of people are on a waiting list for a Nebbie.. I'm crossing my fingers he found a girlfriend and got carried away but I highly doubt since he probably hasn't eaten in days and would never miss a meal. I love you Boss! FOREVER GRATEFUL!

I lost my pet. What should I do?

Take advantage of online platforms – they help you get the word out, quickly and easily. You can report your lost pet to PawBoost in no time flat. We’ll send an email alert to our local members, post to the PawBoost-powered Facebook page for your area, add your pet to our lost & found, and make a lost pet flyer – all for free.

Other sites that help you raise local awareness for your lost pet with minimal time and effort are Nextdoor.com – a PawBoost partner – and Craigslist. Both of these sites have very active lost & found sections mainly used for lost pets. We highly recommend you use these resources in addition to PawBoost!

Visit your local shelters and animal control agencies in person. Details can get lost in translation over the phone and that might lead to missed connection.

If chipped, make sure your pet’s microchip is registered and up to date. If you don’t know your pet’s chip manufacturer or number, your vet should be able to help locate this information.

Put up flyers and tell your neighbors to be on the lookout. The more you engage the Champlain community, the better your chances of a happy reunion!
