Message from Owner

We're hoping our neighbors can help us find Tibby, our beloved warehouse cat in Alexandria, VA Tibby has been missing for almost two weeks, last seen 9/30 around Bren Mar Dr in Alexandria Tibby is a feral (but friendly) working cat who lives at our warehouse. He has a tipped ear, and is accustomed to living in our warehouse and sometimes outdoors and has been cared for by our team. Because he's semi- feral, he may be wary of people and unlikely to approach strangers. If you've seen Tibby, please let us know where and when! Even a possible sighting would be incredibly helpful.

Not sure if any of these tips would be of help, but maybe one... I am not an expert, but after ours went briefly missing I have a few tips to share. πŸˆβ€β¬›βœ”οΈ Look in storm drains. Bend down and look, dont assume they can hear you calling for them. Even if you are next to it calling out, they may not hear. πŸˆβ€β¬›βœ”οΈ Walk the surrounding areas during quite times of the day, especially in late at night and early mornings. Take treats to shake or cans of food to tap. Cats are most likely to be active and venturing out of hiding during those times. Cats are naturally more active during dusk and dawn, and may be less likely to be seen during the day. Additionally, many cats will attempt to return home within the first week, often in the middle of the night. πŸˆβ€β¬›βœ”οΈ Don't put out their litter, but do put out a load of your laundry. Your baby knows your scent. Litter might attract territorial aggressive strays or ferals that might fight or chase away your baby. They won't care about your laundry though. πŸˆβ€β¬›βœ”οΈ Tell your neighbors. Ask the delivery people, garbage & recycling people to keep an eye out. πŸˆβ€β¬›βœ”οΈ Notify the microchip company and make sure they are still in their system πŸˆβ€β¬›βœ”οΈ Use free online sources like Canva to make flyers to put up. πŸˆβ€β¬›βœ”οΈ Contact the local shelters to alert them. They will check the pets that came in and will be on the look out for yours when new ones come in. They also have resources/suggestions, and can loan you traps. **if you use a trap, check it often as raccoons will injure trapped cats. Do not leave it alone over night. ⚠️ Set your alarm to wake up to check it πŸˆβ€β¬›βœ”οΈ Contact the vets in the surrounding area. Someone might take your pet in to see if they have a chip. Leave your info with them just in case someone does. πŸˆβ€β¬›βœ”οΈReach out to local rescues to alert them. πŸˆβ€β¬›βœ”οΈ Register them on websites like Petco Lost Love and PawBoost. One will create a flyer for you to print out and both can be used to share on social media. πŸˆβ€β¬›βœ”οΈ Check out websites like 24PetConnection , nextdoor neighbors, and the shelters periodically to see if they have been listed as found. πŸˆβ€β¬›βœ”οΈ Don't give up.

Cat is Close by. Check at night under bushes and porches etc with flash light for glow of thr eyes. Leave (ideally in a trap) smelly fish (like mackerel) or hot foods (my cat came back after 16 days to my neighbors grilling burgers). Call at night. Post on pawboost and print physical posters. Put posters in page protectors with closed side up and bottom taped closed. Put them up in area and knock on neighbors doors to ask to look and keep an eye out and give them a flyer for if they see cat. https://www.missinganimalresponse.com/lost-cat-behavior/ https://www.missinganimalresponse.com/intersection-alerts/ https://www.missinganimalresponse.com/neon-posters/ Also, I used https://www.professionalpettrackers.com/

Reach out to Vantage Aerial Operations β€” they helped me find my missing dog in just one day. I honestly can’t thank their team enough. They were caring, dedicated, and professional from start to finish. If you’re going through the heartbreak of a missing pet, I highly recommend giving them a chance. 🐾β™₯️
