Remember Me Rescue NY i meant well. people without their missing pets have difficulty sleeping at night over the possibilities their sweet dog or cat is nervous, hungry, and/or mistreated. how do they get to work throughout the unknown period of what happened to a diminutive little creature they loved? they could get to a point of not having the income to pay for their rent or essentials! if i had that kind of anxiousness, god forbid, i would be near hysterics. if i could afford to try a psychic or that psychic person volunteer whatever real info they have, for free, i for one am not oppressed by a religious belief to feel self conscious about it. i don't understand where you come about to attack me but you do not explain yourself or give a reason. it seems pointless. and as if you do not have an appropriate attitude dealing with the public, and i use the word public, because you are affiliated with animal rescue. this is not what we do in civil discussions! - we don't attack a total stranger and i am not myself causing harm to anyone. if you so think i was a cause of trouble to the poster of the missing pet, why didn't you share that to me? i'm a senior citizen, i'm mostly vegan, and i house and provide for a middle aged tomcat including his diabetes . i've been in animal rights in one way or another since 1980. how have i caused you displeasure earning you the reaction you gave me? if you have more to say, go ahead. explain. i won't keep up my stubborn ego. but i have to clearly say i feel attacked. what you did was unnecessary and alienating.

Put out bowls of water and check with local vets. Also you can try dragging an item of your dog outside to your door. Hopefully doggie will pick up the scent and follow it home. Someone may bring him in to be scanned for a chip. Check local shelters and rescues, too. Also post fliers and contact the police. And ask your mail carrier to keep an eye out as they traverse your neighborhood. Also keep checking Nextdoor and Pawboost for dogs found in and near your zip code.

Post lots of flyers with large letters that can be seen from a car. Set a humane trap with her favorite food; don't leave it unattended. Leave a scent trail of your things and hers, leading to your house. Leave door ajar, if you can. Go around calling her name gently, carrying her favorite food or a strong-smelling food like fried chicken or sardines, and approach slowly if seen as she may be scared and run (fight or flight mode). Indoor cats are normally within 4 houses of yours. Ask neighbors if YOU can check their backyard, shed, garage; also look under porches and shrubs. Contact a professional pet tracker, such as Teddy Henn who has had wonderful success in finding lost dogs; they use scent dogs and drones to track your companion animal. This dog has one eye, which makes it easier to be hit by a speeding car or truck! (Advice is from book written by an expert, by Dusty Rainbolt.) Also check Pawboost if someone found her, and post your cat or dog on Pawboost, which has a high success rate. And pray, God knows where your companion is. Check the city shelter in case someone brought her there.
