Unlike large dogs who walk the streets when lost, small dogs hide in bushes because they are afraid. I had a toy poodle who was lost under the care of another person in Naples, while I was away. I was lucky to find her four days later hiding in bushes, but in that same neighborhood. You really have to call the dog’s name out loud when searching and looking in bushes or behind structures.

IMMEDIATELY CHECK ALL WATERS!! PLUS DO THE SIGNS!!! If your dog is microchipped please notify your chip company. Be sure all your info is currently up to date with the microchip company. The very NUMBER ONE method to bring a dog home the fastest is huge signs with huge writing. Huge visible corrugated plastic signs are what is needed to bring your dog home. Not Flyers. Not paper or cardboard.. They don’t even last overnight. You reach many more people when you post them on major stop signs & blanket the area. They hold up in the wind and rain plus they last longer because kids don't pull them down. You can cut them down to 12 by 18 & that will give you 20 signs. Here is a supply list for Home Depot! It is the absolute quickest & easiest way to get signs up because it's a One Stop Shop. These are SOOO much easier, faster & 100 times more effective than any other type of signs you'll see "recommended " SUPPLY LIST (somewhere about $ 45 gives you 20 huge signs) you can order online and have it ready for pickup when you get there to save time. *9 foot sheet of white corrugated plastic & cut it down to 18 inches long by 12 wide pieces. This will give you 20 signs HOME DEPOT SUPPLY LIST Order online & pick up *Corrugated plastic (Cut into 20 18x12 signs) https://www.homedepot.com/p/Coroplast-48-in-x-96-in-x-0-157-in-White-Corrugated-Plastic-Sheet-CP4896S/205351385 *Jumbo marker ( NOTHING ELSE) https://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-Jumbo-Black-Permanent-Marker-31065/304706360 *Zip ties https://www.homedepot.com/p/Commercial-Electric-8-in-Cable-Tie-Natural-100-Pack-GT-200STC/203531914 *Knife https://www.homedepot.com/p/Stanley-6-in-Classic-Retractable-Utility-Knife-10-099/100000053 Put ONLY the pertinent information : DONT MAKE IT WORDY!!
