Jasper Male Cat

LOST PawBoost ID: 73185497

Livermore, CA 94551

Jasper is a short-hair tabby; grey-black with some tan. He has gold areas behind his ears right where he likes to get scratched. At home he likes tummy rubs but may not like that from strangers. He is sweet and friendly but does not like to be picked up and held. He has longed to get outside since we adopted him but we managed to keep him indoors for 3+ years. He is my alarm clock and comes to wake me up in the morning by tapping my arm. He sits on the back of my recliner and reads with me. We had an instant connection when we met at a pet adoption event and he has become quite good at letting me know what he wants by tapping my arm then going to the food or toys. He has been very much missed since opening a large sliding glass window and tearing out the screen. He is prone to bladder stones and obstruction and should be eating a vet prescribed wet-food diet. He is neutered, chipped, and up to date with his shots.

Frequently Asked Questions

I lost my cat. What should I do?

Take advantage of online platforms – they help you get the word out, quickly and easily. You can report your lost cat to PawBoost in no time flat. We'll send an email alert to our local members, post to the PawBoost-powered Facebook page for your area, add your cat to our lost & found, and make a lost cat flyer – all for free.

Other sites that help you raise local awareness for your lost cat with minimal time and effort are Nextdoor.com – a PawBoost partner – and Craigslist. Both of these sites have very active lost & found sections mainly used for lost pets. We highly recommend you use these resources in addition to PawBoost!

Visit your local shelters and animal control agencies in person. Details can get lost in translation over the phone and that might lead to missed connection.

If chipped, make sure your cat's microchip is registered and up to date. If you don't know your pet's chip manufacturer or number, your vet should be able to help locate this information.

Put up flyers and tell your neighbors to be on the lookout. The more you engage the Antioch community, the better your chances of a happy reunion!
