Lost Male Cat last seen A block south of Pierce Downer Elementary school, last seen heading west, Downers Grove, IL 60515

Reported 4 weeks ago, updated 4 weeks ago

Simon Male Cat

LOST PawBoost ID: 72852100

Downers Grove, IL 60515

Black cat with green eyes, small but lanky with long limbs. Equipped with all claws. Has faint brownish stripes in his black fur that can only be seen under sunlight. Has the distinct M marking that a lot of tabby’s have, but it’s faint. Skittish—will probably run when you approach (even a step) and will wriggle strongly in your arms if you catch him. Very whiny meows but I’m not sure he’d be vocal in this situation. He might hide in grges or under porches.

Pelmen Male Cat

LOST PawBoost ID: 72837701

Wauconda, IL 60084

Pelmen is a gray, short-haired cat with a plush coat and a lighter belly. He has very distinctive round amber/orange eyes and a round, expressive face. From the back, he can look a bit like a raccoon because of his thick, striped tail. He is not wearing a collar, as he doesn’t tolerate them, and he is not microchipped.

Frequently Asked Questions

I lost my cat. What should I do?

Take advantage of online platforms – they help you get the word out, quickly and easily. You can report your lost cat to PawBoost in no time flat. We'll send an email alert to our local members, post to the PawBoost-powered Facebook page for your area, add your cat to our lost & found, and make a lost cat flyer – all for free.

Other sites that help you raise local awareness for your lost cat with minimal time and effort are Nextdoor.com – a PawBoost partner – and Craigslist. Both of these sites have very active lost & found sections mainly used for lost pets. We highly recommend you use these resources in addition to PawBoost!

Visit your local shelters and animal control agencies in person. Details can get lost in translation over the phone and that might lead to missed connection.

If chipped, make sure your cat's microchip is registered and up to date. If you don't know your pet's chip manufacturer or number, your vet should be able to help locate this information.

Put up flyers and tell your neighbors to be on the lookout. The more you engage the Arlington Heights community, the better your chances of a happy reunion!
