Sofia Female Cat

LOST PET ID: 70836620

Lafayette, CA 94549

Russian Blue: short hair all gray with green eyes. About 9 pounds, estimated 1.5 years old. She is smallish in size and can be very vocal. MISSING CAT: About a year ago, a feral cat mother had a litter of kittens in my neighbor’s yard and over the course of 5 months we were able to befriend the mother and get all of them fixed. We ended up adopting 3 of the kittens and the mother because all of the shelters were full and they have been completely domesticated living as indoor/outdoor cats in our household. Well, the mother cat, Sofia, has gone missing the last 5 days, last seen on Tuesday morning and I just wanted to see if anyone has seen her or if you could check your sheds or grges to make sure she didn’t get unexpectedly trapped. She was behaving particularly odd in the 3 days prior to her disappearing so I’m not sure if she left intentionally, but it’s been difficult not knowing. If you’ve seen her dead body or seen her alive, please let me know! If you’re feeding her, please stop. She needs to come . My kids really miss her. She doesn’t have a collar, but she is microchipped. We are well aware of the risks and that it’s best to keep cats indoor only, but these cats cannot be contained inside since they were living outside for so long (particularly Sofia), our hse is small and there are so many of them. She’s dark gray with green eyes (Russian Blue breed, we think) and is a smallish, vocal cat, about 9 pounds. She’s estimated to be about 2.5 years old. And for living in the wild for as long as she did, she’s actually very friendly (lets the delivery people pet her). Thanks for reading

Frequently Asked Questions

I lost my pet. What should I do?

Take advantage of online platforms – they help you get the word out, quickly and easily. You can report your lost pet to PawBoost in no time flat. We’ll send an email alert to our local members, post to the PawBoost-powered Facebook page for your area, add your pet to our lost & found, and make a lost pet flyer – all for free.

Other sites that help you raise local awareness for your lost pet with minimal time and effort are Nextdoor.com – a PawBoost partner – and Craigslist. Both of these sites have very active lost & found sections mainly used for lost pets. We highly recommend you use these resources in addition to PawBoost!

Visit your local shelters and animal control agencies in person. Details can get lost in translation over the phone and that might lead to missed connection.

If chipped, make sure your pet’s microchip is registered and up to date. If you don’t know your pet’s chip manufacturer or number, your vet should be able to help locate this information.

Put up flyers and tell your neighbors to be on the lookout. The more you engage the Hayward community, the better your chances of a happy reunion!
