Lucky Male Dog

LOST PawBoost ID: 73192299

Santa Ana, CA 92704

Small light tan (golden cream) and white Pomeranian with a lump on his right neck. I want to share my experience as a caution to other pet owners. A guy with phone number (two-zero-one) (two-four-one-five-three-eight-one) contacted me claiming he had found my dog but before providing his address or allowing me to verify that the dog was actually mine, he demanded that I send the reward money through Zelle. As a pet owner, I understand the desire to reunite with a lost pet as quickly as possible, but it is important to be careful. A legitimate finder should be willing to provide reasonable proof that he/she has your pet before requesting any payment. Please stay vigilant and do not send money until you have confirmed that the pet is truly yours and that the situation is legitimate. I hope this helps others avoid becoming victims of a potential scam.

Frequently Asked Questions

I lost my dog. What should I do?

Take advantage of online platforms – they help you get the word out, quickly and easily. You can report your lost dog to PawBoost in no time flat. We'll send an email alert to our local members, post to the PawBoost-powered Facebook page for your area, add your dog to our lost & found, and make a lost dog flyer – all for free.

Other sites that help you raise local awareness for your lost dog with minimal time and effort are Nextdoor.com – a PawBoost partner – and Craigslist. Both of these sites have very active lost & found sections mainly used for lost pets. We highly recommend you use these resources in addition to PawBoost!

Visit your local shelters and animal control agencies in person. Details can get lost in translation over the phone and that might lead to missed connection.

If chipped, make sure your dog's microchip is registered and up to date. If you don't know your pet's chip manufacturer or number, your vet should be able to help locate this information.

Put up flyers and tell your neighbors to be on the lookout. The more you engage the Corona community, the better your chances of a happy reunion!
