Mijo Male Dog

LOST PawBoost ID: 71828097

Midwest City, OK 73130

!!! STILL MISSING !!! Please help us find our Mijo! He was last seen on Sunday, July 20th around 5:45p on S Saint Paul Ave near E Reno & Post Rd in Midwest City, OK, when he slipped out of his harness leaving him without any visible indicators of having a Family. He is, however, Micro-Chipped & his information is current & up-to-date. We have spent every day since, searching for him through various ways & have found absolutely nothing. We need your help! Mijo is an 11 yr old un-altered 5.6 lb Black, White & Tan (Tri-Colored) short haired Male Chihuahua, who is a Mental Health Support Service Animal to my Bi-Polar husband, who is completely devastated without him, as they are Best Friend's & did EVERYTHING together... up until he went missing. Mijo's son, Harley, is also a Member of our Family. With Mijo having gone missing & after loosing his Mother 3 yrs ago (& Mijo's Mate for the previous 8 yrs) to a prolonged & painful genetic illness, he is very worried & sad. Harley barely eats his food or plays with his toys, choosing instead to spend his days & nights whimpering & whining, as he indecisively takes turns switching between lying in his bed & curling up on his daddy's (Mijo's) bed & running to the door anytime another neighborhood dog so much as makes a sound. When we adopted Mijo, he was only 6 weeks old . After a couple of months,we took him to the lake for the very first time. By the next morning, he had become very sick & by that night, had begun refusing all food & water. By the time our Vet was finally able to see him, a week had already past. After several tests were performed, it was determined Mijo had contracted a fairly rare (for our area) deadly parasitic-like bacterial infection while he had spent the day before exploring all the different kinds of fun & excitement the lake could offer. Our Vet said he couldn't believe Mijo was still alive & said. statistically he should have died within the 1st couple of days. We were informed the only reason he was still clinging to life was due to the long hours & sleepless nights of the constant care & life sustaining efforts both myself & my husband had lovingly & desperately poured into keeping our Mijo alive. We took turns in shifts caring for our little boy making sure we would change his bedding immediately after he had uncontrollably soiled it, bottle feeding him as if he were still nursing & eventually having to administer forced feedings with a baby's medicinal syringe when he no longer had the stregth to lift his head. Thankfully the treatment for his illness was a simple. though costly cure, but well worth every penny. 2 days later Mijo greeted us with an excited cry & had he been bigger than 2lbs, would have succeeded at dragging his escort down the hallway. Over the following 11 yrs, Mijo has remained healthy & active & thrived in only knowing love, comfort & security from his Family. As you now know, Mijo is very much loved, very much missed & very much wanted back. He is a very loving & friendly member of our Family, who has NEVER met a human he didn't like & shower with affection...especially any child, as he takes it upon himself to be every child's protector, He is very sociable & outgoing & gets along great with most cats & other dogs, though he can get an attitude & become a bit "big for his britches" with some larger breed dogs.. Should someone have picked him up believing he had been abandoned or had no , you now know he does & how very loved he is. We understand you may have "fallen in love" with him, too. Please understand, to us, he is our son & we are very grateful towards anyone who has lovingly cared for him. However, we will NEVER stop looking or searching for him. If you or anyone you know has taken him in & cared for him , has seen him, or knows where he may be, please think about him & how he must be feeling without his family & reach out to us. He's most likely a little scared, alot confused & doesn't understand what. has happened & why he can't go . So, please help Mijo get back to his Family. & help us bring our Baby Boy back to his daddy & his son! Please be the hero, not the villain... Reach out to us!!

Frequently Asked Questions

I lost my dog. What should I do?

Take advantage of online platforms – they help you get the word out, quickly and easily. You can report your lost dog to PawBoost in no time flat. We'll send an email alert to our local members, post to the PawBoost-powered Facebook page for your area, add your dog to our lost & found, and make a lost dog flyer – all for free.

Other sites that help you raise local awareness for your lost dog with minimal time and effort are Nextdoor.com – a PawBoost partner – and Craigslist. Both of these sites have very active lost & found sections mainly used for lost pets. We highly recommend you use these resources in addition to PawBoost!

Visit your local shelters and animal control agencies in person. Details can get lost in translation over the phone and that might lead to missed connection.

If chipped, make sure your dog's microchip is registered and up to date. If you don't know your pet's chip manufacturer or number, your vet should be able to help locate this information.

Put up flyers and tell your neighbors to be on the lookout. The more you engage the Dale community, the better your chances of a happy reunion!
