This POS person that was supposedly my friend took responsibility for a cat I was fostering. The cat's original mom has dementia and it was progressing and she had to move to a memory care unit and she could not take the cat. I worked with the original mom for years at my current place of employment. She's had that cat since it was a baby. The cat is a completely indoor cat she knows no other one but that. My so-called friend agreed to take the cat with the contingency of if it was not working out or she did not want the cat anymore she was to call me and I would come and pick her up. I also informed her that I would take responsibility of buying her food. I periodically check on the cat so make sure everything is going okay. she informed me that her boyfriend had gotten out of jail and he had nowhere else to stay but with her. A week and a half ago I ordered food. On Wednesday I noticed that the food was not picked up. When I called her and asked was going on and why the food was still there she got silent. And then asked her where was the cat. She stayed silent and then told me that she gave her away to one of her friends. I told her she did not have permission to give the cat away she was to call me first. She told me that since I gave her to her she gave her away. She said that she couldn't afford the food anymore ( which I'm buying food mind you), so she let her go to the friend. I told her to call her friend and let her know I needed to come and get the cat or she needed to bring the cat back. We hung up and 10 minutes later she texts me a number to her"friend" ( Magen) the number is not working. It rings once and then it's completely silent after that. 3hrs later I get a message that her "friend" and my baby moved to Minnesota. My suion is that there is no "friend" and something happened to my baby. I just need to know truthfully what's happened, even if it resulted in Meonce dying. She's covering up for her boyfriend. Meonce was fine up until the point when he arrived. The Englewood police will not help me, unfortunately, so this is the only way I can get help looking for her. She's microchipped under her original owner, and she is fixed. She's older and depending on when they let her out or dumped her, she might be a little skinner now. Please help me!
