Taz Female Cat

LOST PawBoost ID: 73300011

Glenavy, Northern Ireland

🐱 Taz’s appearance * Coat: Short-haired, predominantly white, with clearly defined black/very dark grey markings. * Head: Her head is mostly white around the cheeks and lower face, with a dark cap/patch running over the top of her head. * Ears: Both ears are upright and pointed. They have dark colouring on the outer/top areas, while the inner ears are noticeably pale pink. * Eyes: Large, almond-shaped yellow/green-gold eyes. They have a fairly pale, clear appearance in this lighting. * Nose — her BEST identifying feature: She has an extremely distinctive large, irregular black marking across the nose and upper muzzle. It isn’t a normal little black nose — the dark patch spreads upward and outward over the bridge of the nose. This is exactly the feature the woman said she remembered. * Mouth/chin: There is a separate dark marking immediately below the nose, giving her almost a little black moustache/goatee appearance around her mouth. * Whiskers: Long, prominent white whiskers extending from both sides of her muzzle. * Chest: Predominantly white. * Body: Dark markings are visible along her back and sides, but the front of her body and legs are predominantly white. * Front legs: Both front legs appear predominantly white, with dark colouring higher up toward the body. * Paws: White paws, particularly obvious on the front leg closest to the camera. * Tail: This is another particularly useful feature. Her tail is dark and appears to curl upward, with a distinctive curved/hooked shape in this photograph. * Build: She looks like a small-to-medium, slim domestic shorthair, rather than a large or heavy-set cat. * Fur: Short, smooth and fairly close to the body.

Frequently Asked Questions

I lost my cat. What should I do?

Take advantage of online platforms – they help you get the word out, quickly and easily. You can report your lost cat to PawBoost in no time flat. We'll send an email alert to our local members, post to the PawBoost-powered Facebook page for your area, add your cat to our lost & found, and make a lost cat flyer – all for free.

Other sites that help you raise local awareness for your lost cat with minimal time and effort are Nextdoor.com – a PawBoost partner – and Craigslist. Both of these sites have very active lost & found sections mainly used for lost pets. We highly recommend you use these resources in addition to PawBoost!

Visit your local shelters and animal control agencies in person. Details can get lost in translation over the phone and that might lead to missed connection.

If chipped, make sure your cat's microchip is registered and up to date. If you don't know your pet's chip manufacturer or number, your vet should be able to help locate this information.

Put up flyers and tell your neighbors to be on the lookout. The more you engage the Mid and East Antrim community, the better your chances of a happy reunion!
