Lost near Arboretum 5/2 but has been spotted all around JP neighborhood since. Orange, long hair, looks like a small lion. He was wearing green collar with an air tag (that is no longer responding). Is quite matted now. Is generally friendly, but skittish now - can try to lure with food. Family and his sister miss him dearly!!!

Salem Male Cat

LOST PawBoost ID: 73273214

Bedford, MA 01730

RE-Post September 7, 2026. It's so sad to see Salem's mates "Flurry" and "Bella" playing without him. Flurry sure misses rough housing with his brother while Bella watches. We're hoping Salem is on his way home soon. RE-POST 8/26/26 - It's hard to believe that 20 days have past since Salem has been missing. Thank you all for keeping an eye out for him. 1 Year old male neutered black short hair cat Named "Salem" is very friendly approximately 5 lbs. Salem's has a clipped LEFT ear. He is not chipped. Salem is missing from Churchill Stables 51 Dudley Road, Bedford, MA. Please check your garages, sheds, basements and any place Salem could slip in.

Frequently Asked Questions

I lost my cat. What should I do?

Take advantage of online platforms – they help you get the word out, quickly and easily. You can report your lost cat to PawBoost in no time flat. We'll send an email alert to our local members, post to the PawBoost-powered Facebook page for your area, add your cat to our lost & found, and make a lost cat flyer – all for free.

Other sites that help you raise local awareness for your lost cat with minimal time and effort are Nextdoor.com – a PawBoost partner – and Craigslist. Both of these sites have very active lost & found sections mainly used for lost pets. We highly recommend you use these resources in addition to PawBoost!

Visit your local shelters and animal control agencies in person. Details can get lost in translation over the phone and that might lead to missed connection.

If chipped, make sure your cat's microchip is registered and up to date. If you don't know your pet's chip manufacturer or number, your vet should be able to help locate this information.

Put up flyers and tell your neighbors to be on the lookout. The more you engage the South Boston community, the better your chances of a happy reunion!
