LOST / FOUND DOG – GRAY PIT BULL TYPE – LOS ANGELES Last night a gray (blue) pit bull–type dog with white paws came into my backyard and stayed overnight. He appeared friendly, calm, and comfortable around people. I gave him water and he rested in the yard. Unfortunately, early this morning around 5:30 AM, he pushed open the backyard gate/door and walked down the street before we realized. Camera footage shows him walking slowly and sniffing around like he may be lost, not running. Description: • Gray / blue coat • White paws • Medium build (approx. 45–60 lbs) • Floppy ears • No collar or tags • Calm temperament, follows people and responds well Location: Los Angeles area (near [insert your nearest cross streets or neighborhood]). If this is your dog or you’ve seen him nearby, please message me. I just want to help make sure he’s safe or reunited with his owner.

Frequently Asked Questions

I lost my dog. What should I do?

Take advantage of online platforms – they help you get the word out, quickly and easily. You can report your lost dog to PawBoost in no time flat. We'll send an email alert to our local members, post to the PawBoost-powered Facebook page for your area, add your dog to our lost & found, and make a lost dog flyer – all for free.

Other sites that help you raise local awareness for your lost dog with minimal time and effort are Nextdoor.com – a PawBoost partner – and Craigslist. Both of these sites have very active lost & found sections mainly used for lost pets. We highly recommend you use these resources in addition to PawBoost!

Visit your local shelters and animal control agencies in person. Details can get lost in translation over the phone and that might lead to missed connection.

If chipped, make sure your dog's microchip is registered and up to date. If you don't know your pet's chip manufacturer or number, your vet should be able to help locate this information.

Put up flyers and tell your neighbors to be on the lookout. The more you engage the Tarzana community, the better your chances of a happy reunion!
