Spike Male Dog

LOST PawBoost ID: 73364301

Pleasant Grove, AL 35127

Please help us bring Spike home. He has been missing since September 1, 2026, and was last seen near Pleasant Grove Road / Park Road in Pleasant Grove, Alabama. Spike is a small fawn/tan-and-white dog, around 15 to 16 years old, though he does not look his age. He has a lot of white on his face, including a white strip down his forehead, a tan-and-white chest, a distinctive liver-colored nose, and a small mark or mole on the white part of one of his eyes. He was last seen wearing a white or light-colored flea collar. Spike is very sweet and does not bite, but he is shy and gets skittish easily. Please do not walk up to him quickly or try to grab him—he may get scared and run, possibly into the road. If you see him, please approach slowly, bend down, and calmly say his name or call for him. If you can, please offer him some water and call us right away. We are worried sick about him. He is like family to us, and our daughter is heartbroken without him. We are afraid he may be hungry, hurt, or that someone may have taken him in. Even the smallest detail could help. If you can, please copy and share this post on other sites and Facebook pages to help us find him. We would greatly appreciate any help getting Spike home. CONTACT: APRIL RILEY CALL: OR:

Frequently Asked Questions

I lost my dog. What should I do?

Take advantage of online platforms – they help you get the word out, quickly and easily. You can report your lost dog to PawBoost in no time flat. We'll send an email alert to our local members, post to the PawBoost-powered Facebook page for your area, add your dog to our lost & found, and make a lost dog flyer – all for free.

Other sites that help you raise local awareness for your lost dog with minimal time and effort are Nextdoor.com – a PawBoost partner – and Craigslist. Both of these sites have very active lost & found sections mainly used for lost pets. We highly recommend you use these resources in addition to PawBoost!

Visit your local shelters and animal control agencies in person. Details can get lost in translation over the phone and that might lead to missed connection.

If chipped, make sure your dog's microchip is registered and up to date. If you don't know your pet's chip manufacturer or number, your vet should be able to help locate this information.

Put up flyers and tell your neighbors to be on the lookout. The more you engage the Birmingham community, the better your chances of a happy reunion!
