Found Pet Male Dog
FOUND PawBoost ID: 73294910
Austin, TX 78754
Physical Traits: * A handsome boy that hasn’t been neutered yet * Lab/Rottweiler mix * Has beautiful yellow eyes with a brown and tan coat * Right now he is 40-50 pounds and has a large build. He looks to be a little less than a year old based on his features, so he will still probably grow bigger. I suspect he might weigh 70-80 pounds at full size. He is also a little underweight even for his age right now I’m assuming because of lack of food before I found him. * He was found wondering around apmt complexes with no collar/identification and is not microchipped * Don’t know what vaccinations he has or hasn’t had in the past, but I did give him a flea treatment and bath when I first found him. Personality: * He is SO SWEET to both all humans and animals, although he is a bit apprehensive at first until he’s comfortable. * Very smart and gentle, he doesn’t have a mean bone in his body * Rarely barks and is potty trained already * SUPER playful and still has puppy energy * Loves to give hugs and be right on top of you, but can also give you space if you tell him to * He’s really comfortable with humans and hses, so I think he was someone’s pet. I took him walking all around the area and called around to see if he recognized anything or anyone has reported a missing dog, but couldn’t find any leads. I’m trying to post as many places as possible now to see if that can help find his owner. * My thoughts are since he’s unfamiliar with the area he was found in is that he either escaped and got lost from far away, or got abandoned here by his owner. * He is best suited for a home with a yard or lots of room in their hse because he likes to move around frequently * Loves walks, runs, and being able to go in and out to a yard or porch frequently * Switches between high playful energy to low sleepy energy frequently * Is sad when he’s left alone without any humans or other animals around * Does well with traveling in cars and running errands. He loves to meet new people/animals and explore everywhere! He stays calm in public places and doesn’t get overwhelmed in crowds. * Is a picky eater from what I’ve seen so far with kibbles and even some human foods. The only foods I’ve gotten him to eat so far are cooked potatoes, cooked spinach, cooked ground beef, cooked chicken, beef dog treats, and cream cheese. He won’t even touch anything else not even peanut butter. He appears to have no stomach or dental issues, so I believe he’s just picky and there’s no medical reason as to why he won’t eat most food.
