Update 3/27/2026: this found cat has been named Morgan and he is now through the Houston Humane Society (Animal ID HHTX-A-21149). He does not yet know his name, so if you would like to adopt him, you can change it. He is currently experiencing some itchiness and hair loss due to allergies. The vet at HHS estimates his age to be 2 years old. The vet who verified he was already neutered estimated his age to be 6 years old. For additional photos: Update 2/20/2026: this found cat has an appointment to be evaluated for the Finder to Foster program with Houston Humane Society on 3/24/2026. Original post from 1/27/2026: Black neutered male cat. No white spots, but he has a few random white hairs. No microchip. Approximately 15 pounds. Estimated to be 6 years old. He was previously posted on Nextdoor on 11/30/2025 and 1/1/2026 by neighbors. He was posted on PawBoost on 1/1/2026 by a neighbor. He is friendly, enjoys being petted (top of his head and neck, specifically), and has been trying to get into s in the neighborhood. He purrs and meows loudly. I am posting him again in an effort to try to find his family before I start contacting rescues to get him evaluated to be eligible for adoption. He may be very dark brown in the sun?
