Dawg Male Cat

LOST PawBoost ID: 73274557

Mt. Juliet, TN 37122

Orange cat with a white chest spot right where his collar is. He is wearing a grey Seresto flea collar as well as a black collar with a scannable flt Byte tag on it. Dawg is the world’s most friendly cat. He will approach anyone. He is almost 15 years old and is very skinny due to a medical condition but is in great health overall. He is an indoor/outdoor cat who has microchip-reading door access to our hse at all times. He left through his door at his usual time Sunday morning (8/16 at 4 am) but has not returned which is highly unusual. He has a very normal schedule that he sticks to. He visits certain neighbors at certain times and returns home between those visits and to sleep at night. Once in a blue moon, he will venture to the neighborhoods surrounding ours visiting places where he has made friends before. This has gotten him in trouble previously when a well meaning person trapped him and gave him to someone else thinking it was their missing cat. We are praying this hasn’t happened again. Please help us get Dawg back. He means the world to us and we desperately hope to find him.

“Cow-cat” with black spots on his head, sides, rear, and a small black spot on his chin below his mouth on the left side. His tail is completely black from his rear down. He has a small cut on the tip of his left ear. His belly is completely white. He is about 5 years old and has been neutered and is up to date on all his shots. He likes to “loaf” on concrete and stairs and will sprawl out on ledges. He is mostly an outdoor cat but is no stranger to being indoors snuggling on a blanket.

Frequently Asked Questions

I lost my cat. What should I do?

Take advantage of online platforms – they help you get the word out, quickly and easily. You can report your lost cat to PawBoost in no time flat. We'll send an email alert to our local members, post to the PawBoost-powered Facebook page for your area, add your cat to our lost & found, and make a lost cat flyer – all for free.

Other sites that help you raise local awareness for your lost cat with minimal time and effort are Nextdoor.com – a PawBoost partner – and Craigslist. Both of these sites have very active lost & found sections mainly used for lost pets. We highly recommend you use these resources in addition to PawBoost!

Visit your local shelters and animal control agencies in person. Details can get lost in translation over the phone and that might lead to missed connection.

If chipped, make sure your cat's microchip is registered and up to date. If you don't know your pet's chip manufacturer or number, your vet should be able to help locate this information.

Put up flyers and tell your neighbors to be on the lookout. The more you engage the Nashville community, the better your chances of a happy reunion!
